Campus Contrubution:

As part of our commitment to enhancing the college campus’s biodiversity, the Botany department successfully undertook the transplantation of a 62-year-old Ficus religiosa (Pimpal) tree. This delicate process was carried out with a meticulous scientific approach, ensuring minimal disruption to the plant’s health and growth.

The transplantation involved careful planning and execution, including root pruning, soil preparation, and the use of growth stimulants to facilitate the tree’s acclimatization in its new location. Our faculty collaborated with horticulturists and environmental scientists to ensure the process adhered to best practices in plant conservation and transplantation. This initiative not only preserves the historical significance of the tree but also contributes to the ecological health of our campus, fostering a greener, more sustainable environment for future generations
